I'm on Etsy!!!

Hi all!  For the past three months I've been working at craft fairs just about every weekend.  With all this product that I've been coming up with, including non-card type stuff, I've decided to open an Etsy store.  I've only got three items in there right now, because I still have this next weekend to do another craft fair, and I don't want to sell something that's in the store.  But there are three things in there!!  Lots more will be appearing in the coming weeks.  There is a badge over to the right which will take you directly to my store.  So, take a look, let me know what you think!

Make It Monday #81: Clay Embellishments With Dies & Stamps

I actually had an opportunity to catch a little play time for myself, so I'm submitting for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday fun!  You can find all the details here. 

Martha Stewart's Crafters Clay is great because you don't have to bake it at all!!  It is completely dried and ready to use within 12 to 24 hours and it is extremely light weight when dried.  So when I made the daisy on this card, it didn't add much weight, just bulk.  This is a card that would need a bubble pack envelope to mail it. 

 When I was kneading the clay for the center, I used white clay and added in yellow Stampin' Up! glitter to it.  I like that the glitter won't rub off because it's embedded into the clay, not just laying on top of it.

 The last picture is of one of the heat embossed daisies I stamped in Versamark ink and used detailed clear embossing powder.  I love the look of the clear embossing on just about any card I've ever seen!  And you also can see my little quilled leaf on the left side too!

Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Hellllooooooo!!!  Just wanted to post for you what I've been doing lately, and the monthly PTI Blog Hop seems to fit the bill!  I dug out my quilling things about two weeks ago.  I haven't quilled in over 20 years!  YIKES!  So please don't be too critical of my quilling skills - I'm a little rusty!!

I made four tags out of the medallions I made.  I was originally going to put them all on one card in a quilt fashion for my Mom for Mother's Day, but they were too big to all fit nicely on one card front, so tonight when surfing my reading list of blogs, I saw Nichole's post about the Blog Hop and decided to put them on tags.

I used all PTI paper - Lavender Moon, Spring Rain and Spring Moss as well as one of the very first stamp sets I bought from them - Boxes, Bags and Tags.  I used my Cricut with the George and Basic Shapes cartridge to cut the layered tags.  The quilling paper is from Lake City Craft and the ribbon is unknown stuff I had.

Papertrey February Blog Hop!!!

Hey there-I'm hopping today!  I originally made this card for the MIM series, but when I realized interactive cards was the call for the blog hop, I switched.  There will be another post for the MIM...I made another card.

The photography isn't that great on this one....I can't find my digital camera, so I used my cell phone.  But you get the idea.

This is a swing card, or a flip card depending on what your vernacular is. Here is the card closed, so to speak.....

Materials I used are....

Red card stock is PTI, as well as the buttons.
Patterned paper is 6x6 Citrus stack by DCWV
The flowers were punched using an old SU! punch on both the PTI and DCWV paper. 

The idea of the card is, you open it by pulling the left and right bottom corners away from each other and the middle panel swings around.  Here is a pic of the front panel in full view....

Make It Monday #43: Ribbon Pleating

Hi there!  Haven't been in here for a while.  It's full on craft fair season and I've been in the thick of it since October!  Hence my absence on the blog.  Thankfully, the last craft fair I will be participating in this year is this Saturday.  Because I've only been doing craft fair items over and over and nothing fun just for me, I took a look over at Nichole's blog and the Make it Monday video you can find here.  So I decided to jump in and do it in between projects that I'm currently working on.
 

Somehow, recently, kraft paper has been used a lot in my projects.  Perhaps it's with the winter air moving in and the snow flakes that were trying so hard to stick this afternoon that I find myself using it more.  The edges were brushed with white ink and the corners rounded.

I used PTI top notch twill in Scarlet Jewel and Pinefeather adhered down with Scoretape.  However, I think I need to get thicker Scoretape for this project.  I was using the 1/8th inch size and it wasn't holding very well.  I added some glue dots to make it more secure.

 The 'O Christmas Tree sentiment from the Merry and Bright set was stamped at the bottom to make it look like the trunk of the tree.

And finally a little star was punched out and glittered to make it's way to the top of the ribbon tree!
