Hi there! It's been a while, but that's okay! Real life instead of sitting in front of the computer, that's okay in my book! But I did have a chance to play along with the PTI Blog Hop Challenge!!! So the challenge was to use a black background, and my first thought was to use a Sympathy card, but as I thought about it, it didn't work.....sympathy is usually a black card, and I wanted to do something different, so I made this.....
Yep, clean and simple but with a bit of sparkle and shine and the unexpected with the little knots of wire on each side of the sentiment. The copper leaves....are so ancient, but I'm using what I have until the economy picks up! Here are a few more pics for you....
I heat embossed the sentiment to give a bit of dimension and the leaves, believe it or not, are adhered with glue stick! It's my fail-safe....if it doesn't stick with glue stick, then it wasn't meant to happen! And the beauty of it is, you can't feel any tacky-ness or shine with the glue stick on the leaves when it's dried.
And here is a pic of the inside, because I ALWAYS finish the inside...
Nothing fancy....
Thanks for stopping by!
